About the Opportunity:The TECH COMMUNICATIONS LEAD is responsible for shaping and communicating the organization's technology and AI innovation narrative. This role partners with co-founders and senior product and AI leaders to translate complex technical work into engaging stories that resonate with customers, prospects, and the tech community. The position influences how the organization is perceived in AI and innovation, securing opportunities that elevate its profile and supporting thought leadership initiatives. Responsibilities:Develop and own the technology, AI, and innovation narrative, making complex product and engineering information accessible and compellingCollaborate with senior leaders to build thought leadership platforms, including messaging and social presenceDesign and execute integrated communications programs across podcasts, events, content, social media, and pressIdentify and secure high-impact media and speaking opportunities for leadership visibilityLead communications for product and AI launches, ensuring consistent innovation messagingCultivate relationships with journalists, creators, and podcast hosts in tech, AI, and startup sectorsCreate and edit diverse content, coaching spokespeople to deliver messages effectivelyMonitor the AI and fintech landscape to identify trends and opportunities for leadershipAnalyze communication effectiveness to refine strategyEmploy AI tools to enhance team productivity and explore new outreach methods Requirements:7-10 years of communications experience, particularly in tech, product, or AI storytelling within high-growth startups or tech companiesProficiency and enthusiasm for using AI tools to support communication tasksProven success in building executive and founder thought leadership programsAbility to simplify and humanize technical concepts without compromising accuracyExceptional writing and editing skills with strong narrative senseEstablished or potential relationships with tech and AI media and content creatorsComfortable engaging directly with founders and senior leadersResourceful and self-driven in creating new communication programs in dynamic environmentsGenuine curiosity about AI, startups, and entrepreneurial journeysBonus: experience in fintech or communicating with founder and SMB audiences Pay Range and Compensation Package:Target base salary ranges for US employees vary by location from $142,400 to $197,800 USDCanadian employees' target base salary ranges from $149,500 to $186,900 CADTotal rewards include base salary, equity (stock options/RSUs), and benefits, with offers based on experience, expertise, location, and internal equity Equal Opportunity Statement: Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
