Tech Center Engineer Technician

Tasks

• Perform engineering prototype builds and designs from concept to completion.
• Work from engineering prints, sketches, and concept ideas.
• Operate equipment including CNC mill, manual mill, manual lathe, laser, brake press, horizontal and vertical band saws, and MIG/TIG welders.
• Assemble conveyor loops based on engineered designs.
• Electrical and controls wiring experience.
• Utilize Microsoft apps, SAP (S4/HANA), KION Intranet, Teamcenter, and ASC products page.
• Solve complex and technically demanding problems, escalating only unusual issues.
• Provide guidance and training to lower-level employees as needed.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and external contacts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree or 1-2 years vocational/technical training preferred.
• Specialized skill training/certification may be required.
• 5–8 years of relevant experience in technical or specialty areas.
• Thorough knowledge of material handling equipment and engineering processes.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering prints and sketches.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle complex tasks independently.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, SAP (S4/HANA), Teamcenter, KION Intranet, and ASC products page.
