About the role

As a Technologist Aide, you’ll align patients, providers, payors, and regulators to achieve the best clinical outcomes in a dynamic, team-focused environment with cross-training and advancement opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Greet, register, collect copays, and verify all patient information.
  • Assist team members by notifying patient arrival and communicating appointment delays or changes in a timely fashion; offer rescheduling to ensure effective patient care.
  • Obtain proper insurance/authorizations, collect patient signatures, and ensure accuracy and completion of necessary documentation.
  • Schedule, reschedule, or cancel appointments; confirm appointments and notify staff of changes.
  • Ensure equipment and tools are sterilized before every patient exam.
  • Assist technologists with patients.
  • Demonstrate competency in safeguarding patient property and Patient Health Information (PHI).
  • Safeguard on-site medications in accordance with company policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
  • Respect company property, including cash and patient financial information on-site or on patient portals.
  • Exhibit and maintain professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
  • Respect patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.
  • Interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, their families, and the public in a clinical setting.
  • Establish, nurture, and maintain cooperative working relationships.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma.
  • 1 year of previous medical office experience and intermediate computer skills.
  • Medical terminology knowledge; recent medical/radiology office work experience preferred.
  • BLS certification.
  • Passion for patient care, sound judgment, and professionalism in all situations.
  • Effective and professional communication, interpersonal skills, and respect for patients, guests, and colleagues.
  • Structured work approach with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
