TEAP Specialist (Substance Abuse Counselor)

Essential Duties

• Provide individual and group substance-use counseling and intervention services.
• Develop individualized plans for students participating in TEAP services.
• Monitor and document students participation and progress.
• Administer required drug testing in accordance with Job Corps policies and procedures.
• Prepare quarterly reports for submission to National Health Systems.
• Train center staff on TEAP requirements, procedures, and available student supports.
• Help ensure that TEAP services are fully integrated into center operations.
• Reinforce consistent implementation of the centers zero-tolerance policy regarding alcohol and drug use.
• Consult with the Health Services Manager and recommend appropriate next steps in individual cases.
• Recommend referrals for outside treatment or separation from the program when a students treatment needs exceed the services available through Job Corps.
