About the role

Leads employees in complex sort, warehouse, ramp and/or yard functions in the proper handling of packages/freight, accuracy/completeness of necessary paperwork and proper methods are followed; thereby, ensuring effective operations.

Responsibilities

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum Education: High School Diploma/G.E.D.
• Minimum Experience: Six (6) months FedEx handler experience which preferably includes 3 months work experience In work area which has the open position.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Ability to successfully complete basic and re-currency training.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. With appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person.
• Good human relations and communication skills.
• Ability to coach and train employees during sort operations.
• Ability to prioritize assignments and make quick decisions with available information.
• Ability to effectively communicate verbally and delegate responsibilities in a time sensitive manner in noisy operations environment.
• Good understanding of FedEx systems and operations.

Job Conditions

• Non-Covered Safety Sensitive Position;
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.

Preferred Qualifications

• Pay: $22.25-$32.52
• Work Schedule: TUESDAY-SATURDAY: Tuesday-Friday 4:00PM-11:00PM / Saturday 1:00PM-11:00PM
