About the role

We are looking for a customer-focused Customer Service Representative to join our team. You will prepare coffee drinks and serve food while creating a friendly and hospitable atmosphere. You are passionate about coffee, freshly prepared food, and customer service. Organized, calm, and friendly, you make a point to go above and beyond to ensure customers have exceptional experiences. Responsibilities

• Prepare menu items such as sandwiches and toasts
• Greet all customers with a friendly smile; provide friendly, efficient, and personal service
• Take food and drink orders; understand the menu to describe and execute items accurately
• Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of the coffee preparation process, including specialty drinks
• Demonstrate knowledge of ingredients used in menu items, including grains for bread and pastry
• Accurately and efficiently enter orders into the POS system
• Clear and reset counters and tables after each guest visit
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day, practicing clean-as-you-go procedures
• Work in a fast-paced environment

Requirements

• Previous knowledge of food service regulations preferred
• Barista experience preferred, including use of a manual espresso machine
• Food prep experience preferred but not required
• ServeSafe or Food Handler’s Certification, or willingness to obtain it
• Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills
• Able to stand for long periods of time
• Able to utilize quick thinking and resolve guest issues in accordance with brand standards
• Excellent conflict resolution skills
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment

Pay

Around $25/hr ($12.14/hr + tips).
