Family Farm and Home is a family-owned and operated company based in Michigan. Since opening our first stores in April 2002, we have grown to operate 71 retail locations across Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. We cater to our customers' needs by supplying a wide variety of products in departments such as tools, hardware, automotive, pet, work and casual clothing, footwear, farm supplies, horse and livestock feed, bird food, lawn and garden, and alternative heating.

Responsibilities

• Promote Family Farm and Home’s mission statement and family values.
• Execute daily operational goals and priorities assigned by store management.
• Utilize Farm Hand to receive communication and tasks from the corporate office and store management.
• Greet customers as they enter/exit the store and interact with them in a pleasant and positive manner.
• Solicit customers to sign up for Family Farm and Home programs, including the Loyalty program, Extended Warranties, Add-on Initiative, Financing, and Item of the Month.
• Answer phone calls professionally and assist customers in-store, on supported internet sites, and with special orders.
• Utilize POS to checkout customers and follow all cash handling processes and procedures.
• Use On the Go to complete POGs and Mass layouts in the correct locations per the store layout.
• Use Harvester to complete online customer orders.
• Support and solicit customers to use financing options and complete credit inquiries.
• Assist in setting promotional signage, price changes, clearance prices, and other in-store signage as directed.
• Assist in freight, recovery, and out-of-stock processes.
• Maintain awareness of in-store safety issues and shoplifting activities; communicate issues to store management.
• Uphold and support all company Loss Prevention measures.
• Operate a forklift and/or pallet jack safely and efficiently (must be 18 years or older).
• Assist in building/assembling store displays, products, and fixtures.
• Maintain cleanliness of the sales floor, receiving, cash office, register area, restrooms, and break room.
• Uphold merchandising, store cleanliness, and safety standards.
• Assist in completing the Daily Operational Standards checklist.
• Contribute to a positive working environment for all team members.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by store management or company officials.

• Basic knowledge of computer systems.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as reaching, bending, twisting, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
