West Coast Convenience, parent company of Loop Neighborhood Market, Poppy Market, and other gas brands, operates a growing network of convenience stores, fuel stations, and car washes across California. Responsibilities

• Manage the cash register, ensuring balanced transactions and fast, accurate customer assistance
• Stock products on shelves and maintain a clean, professional store appearance
• Provide prompt, efficient, and courteous customer service to store customers, vendors, and staff
• Maintain a clean, customer-friendly environment in the store and surrounding property
• Troubleshoot and resolve car wash-related issues as needed
• Prepare shift reports at the end of shifts per company guidelines
• Cross-sell and upsell store products to increase sales
• Escalate high-priority issues to immediate management
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements

• Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for quick reporting on store operations
• Proficiency in reading, understanding, and writing in English
• Basic math skills, including proper calculation of change
• Ability to validate identification for tobacco and/or alcohol sales (per applicable laws)
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds
• Ability to climb ladders as needed
• Remain calm and respond to emergencies according to company policies
• Tolerate exposure to gasoline fumes and cleaning products
• Ability to work in various temperature environments (coolers, outdoors, and in the station)

Benefits

• Fuel discounts based on tenure:
  • 0.10¢ off per gallon after 6 months to 3 years
  • 0.30¢ off per gallon after 3 to 5 years
  • 0.40¢ off per gallon after 5+ years

  Maximum 20 gallons and 2 fill-ups per week.

Minimum age requirements: 18+ for 1st and 2nd shifts; 21+ for 3rd shift.
