Responsibilities
- Instruct students on water safety and proper swim techniques based on the Goldfish Swim School curriculum.
- Evaluate students’ progress and complete required paperwork in a timely manner.
- Interact with parents/guardians about students’ swim skills and development.
- Use problem-solving and creative thinking to address challenges students encounter.
- Maintain and ensure proper storage of all pool equipment, including setting up and removing lane lines and class materials.
- Perform lifeguard functions and light cleaning duties as needed.
- Attend occasional mandatory workshops and in-service training outside of regular working hours.
- Fulfill other duties or responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- Ability to swim; you’ll complete an in-house lifeguard certification program and pass a basic swim test (50 yards).
- Ability to work in a warm, humid, chlorinated pool environment (lifting, standing for extended periods, demonstrating skills, and performing in-water rescues if necessary).
- This is an in-water position with 4-hour shifts; may be challenging for individuals with certain medical conditions or sensitive skin.
- Must be comfortable with moderate noise levels.
- Open to individuals ages 16 and up.

Schedule
- Part-time position with set lesson times:
- Monday–Friday: 9:00 AM–1:00 PM and 4:00 PM–8:00 PM.
- Saturday–Sunday: 9:00 AM–3:00 PM.
- Consistent weekly schedule (e.g., every Monday from 4:00 PM–8:00 PM).
- Arrive 15 minutes before lessons for pre-shift meetings.
- No half-shifts or mid-shifts; must be available for full lesson blocks.
Pay
$17–$19 per hour.
