About the role

As a Team Member at Caribou Coffee, you are the core of the Caribou experience. You’ll create day-making experiences by delivering unparalleled guest service, crafting world-class beverages, and bringing the company’s Purpose and Values to life in every interaction.

Responsibilities

• Provide incredible guest service by:
  • Developing personal, ongoing relationships with guests
  • Practicing active listening and connection
  • Anticipating guest needs and proactively solving guest opportunities through product knowledge and hospitality
  • Making enthusiastic and knowledgeable recommendations to delight guests
  • Creating day-making experiences that spark a chain reaction of good
• Hand-craft beverages to order per Caribou standard operating procedures
• Heat, prepare, and serve Caribou food offerings to Caribou standard operating procedures
• Float between barista and guest service roles, fulfilling all team member responsibilities as needed
• Take guest orders, manage the cash drawer, and follow all cash handling policies and procedures
• Maintain the look and feel of a well-run store by adhering to cleanliness, sanitization, and organization standards
• Actively anticipate future team and guest needs
• Differentiate between problems that can be solved directly and when to ask for leader support
• Understand and manage multiple priorities while taking direction from leaders

Requirements

• Ability to work at least one of the following: early mornings, evenings, some holidays, and/or weekends
• Must be at least 16 years of age

Preferred Qualifications

• Restaurant, retail, or guest service experience

Physical Requirements

• Seeing, hearing, and speaking
• Reaching, lifting up to 50 pounds
• Sitting, standing for 4 to 8 hours
• Bending and moving intermittently during working hours
