Team Leader, Warehouse

Responsibilities

• Identify continuous improvement (kaizen) opportunities and recommend solutions; ensure approved kaizens are implemented.
• Lead approved kaizen activities and support TPS processes.
• Participate in quality control circles and jishuken activities.
• Assign and monitor daily work to ensure goals are met; report results to the Supervisor and/or Manager.
• Prioritize quality and provide employees with feedback on processes, procedures, and assignments.
• Use problem-solving techniques to address issues and escalate concerns to the supervisor/manager when needed.
• Monitor employee morale and take appropriate action to maintain a positive work environment.
• Provide on-the-job training to ensure employees are prepared to perform their jobs successfully.
• Facilitate cross-training to build employee skills and flexibility in daily work assignments.
• Promote a safe work environment and support 5S and STOP programs.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance for machines, equipment, and facilities.
• Monitor daily production schedules and ensure parts and orders are delivered on time.
• Perform similar duties as department associates as needed.
• Complete other projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Two or more years of experience working in a warehouse environment.
• Forklift operation experience.
• Successful completion of the company’s ATL curriculum program in the first year of being in the position.

Qualifications

• Previous leadership experience – strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of Wavetrak (WMS), including dispatching orders – strongly preferred.
• Associate’s degree in a related field.

Schedule

This is an in-person role located at our “M5” Muscatine, IA facility—ideal for those who thrive in a hands-on, team-oriented environment. Core working hours are 6:00am - 2:30pm. Overtime is likely based on business needs; however, it is not guaranteed.

Pay

Wage: $22.50/hour + $2.00/hour leadership premium. This role may be eligible for relocation assistance.
