Team Leader-Paint Department (1st Shift)
About the role
We are looking for a confident and driven Team Lead to join our production team in Lincoln NE. This role offers an opportunity to lead and inspire others, and to contribute to the high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency in our production environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily leadership and direction to production teams, ensuring alignment with site and company objectives.
- Drive performance and maintain standards consistent with company expectations for all employees and contractors.
- Manage resources, schedules, and manpower to achieve production targets and meet customer deadlines.
- Support first-line management duties, including coaching, training, and performance assessments.
- Foster a positive, motivated team culture focused on collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Uphold high standards of Health & Safety and promote best practice across the site.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains within production.
Essential Skills, Qualifications/Experience
- Minimum of 3 years’ supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate teams to achieve production goals and deliver high-quality outcomes.
- Experience in people management, including training, performance assessment, and maximizing output.
- Strong awareness of Health & Safety in a factory environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (including advanced Excel).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment with multiple product changes during shift.
- Capable of lifting up to 50lbs during daily job duties.
