About the role
The Eliot Homeless Services Division is seeking a dedicated Team Lead for the PATH (Project for Assistance in Transition from Homelessness) Team. This position offers a variety of services including outreach, case management, mental health treatment, housing assistance, and referrals to other resources for adults with serious mental illness, including those with co-occurring substance use disorders.
Responsibilities
- Perform outreach and engagement activities to identify homeless individuals with mental health and co-occurring substance use needs.
- Provide overall clinical supervision, guidance, and oversight of service delivery.
- Provide direct supervision to all staff, both in the office and in the field.
- Teach and model clinical interventions, strength-based strategies, and ensure services are culturally competent.
- Provide clinical services such as crisis intervention and counseling, as well as concrete services like providing warm clothing, blankets, and food to reduce risk of harm on the streets.
- Maintain a thorough, current knowledge of local public and private resources, including housing, residential programs, and other community organizations.
- Maintain positive working relationships with representatives of these organizations.
- Provide consultation and training on topics related to mental health and co-occurring disorders for shelter staff, community service providers, and other community linkages as needed.
Qualifications
- Requires a clinical license: LCSW, LICSW, or LMHC.
- At least two years of experience in the field, one of which must be supervisory.
- Demonstrated knowledge of consumer recovery, homelessness, homeless services systems, pathways to housing, dual diagnosis, and evidence-based practices.
- Must possess good leadership skills and the ability to provide clinical guidance and support to employees.
- Experience supporting relationships with persons with severe and persistent mental illnesses and respecting their preferences for treatment.
- Must have a valid Massachusetts drivers license to provide flexible community-based services.
Pay
$65,000 USD - $75,000 USD annually.
Schedule
Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm.
