Position Summary

As Team Leader, you are responsible for the store’s overall success in a hands-on leadership role focused on performance, operations, and customer experience. Lead the team with strong business acumen, drive sales and profitability across all departments, ensure operational excellence in a fast-paced environment, deliver a consistent, high-quality customer experience, maintain focus on inventory, retail technology, and safety.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership & Development - Hire, train, coach, and retain a strong team, set expectations, drive accountability, and build a positive team culture, create schedules that support the business and control labor costs.

  • Operations Management - Oversee daily operations, cash handling, and store readiness, maintain cleanliness, safety, and equipment functionality.

  • Sales & Profitability - Drive sales through merchandising, availability, and service, manage inventory, expenses, and store performance.

  • Customer Experience - Deliver excellent service and resolve customer issues promptly, maintain a welcoming, customer-first environment.

  • Compliance & Safety - Follow company policies and all safety and regulatory standards, promote a safe, secure environment for employees and customers, perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • 9–12 months of leadership experience in retail, convenience, or a similar fast-paced environment, or equivalent education and experience

  • Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and basic math skills

  • Ability to multitask, adapt quickly, and manage sales, expenses, and inventory

  • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and insurance

  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays

  • Motivated to contribute to a performance-driven team

  • Must be 21+ years of age

Physical Requirements

  • The Team Leader position requires constant standing, bending and reaching with a moderate amount of manual dexterity, and frequent lifting up to 50 pounds.

  • The Team Leader must be comfortable working in varied environments, which include outdoor areas during hot summer conditions as well as cold indoor spaces, such as walk-in freezers.

Employee Incentives

  • Employees that are with us for 6 months to 3 years = 0.10 cents off a gallon of fuel

  • Employees that are with us for 3 years to 5 years = 0.30 cents off a gallon of fuel

  • Employees that have been with us for 5+ years = 0.40 cents off a gallon of fuel

  • MAXIMUM 20 GALLONS AND 2 FILL UPS PER WEEK
