Team Lead, Testing Operations

About the Role

We’re looking for a Team Lead, Testing Operations to join our rapidly growing consumer health tech startup. This individual will focus on optimizing and managing internal processes for member results and requisitions, ensuring smooth, day-to-day testing operations. The role oversees the results and requisition lifecycle, manages a team of Ops Associates, and ensures reliable coverage across core testing operations workflows.

Responsibilities

• Support Daily Operations: Execute and maintain day-to-day workflows, including overseeing the TNP process, managing the QC requisitions queue, and order generation via the Admin UI, ensuring reliability, accuracy, and timeliness.
• Issue Triage and Resolution: Monitor and triage operational issues, ensure coverage for member inquiries via Intercom, coordinate troubleshooting, and escalate as needed.
• Data Tracking and Reporting: Support data collection, analyze trends impacting member experience, and collaborate with internal teams.
• Process Maintenance and Optimization: Identify inefficiencies in testing operations workflows and drive continuous improvement for efficiency, consistency, and scalability.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with clinical partnerships, operations, and product teams to implement new processes and communicate operational needs.
• Team Management: Manage Jr. Ops Associates and Ops Associates, ensuring coverage across all testing operations workflows.
• Documentation and SOPs: Maintain up-to-date operational procedure documentation and support the development of new standard operating procedures.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in operations roles, leading teams and scaling processes in fast-paced environments.
• Experience in healthcare, diagnostics, logistics, or similarly regulated, process-driven fields.
• Comfortable managing operational challenges, identifying issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Strong technical aptitude and ability to quickly learn tools, systems, and workflows.
• Clear communicator with strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Analytical thinker with attention to detail, able to interpret data and support continuous improvement.
• Highly organized, dependable, and skilled at managing multiple priorities.
• A team player who takes ownership while contributing to broader team goals.

Nice-to-haves

• Prior education or experience in health and medical fields.
• Start-up experience, particularly in early-stage technology companies.
• Familiarity with healthcare or wellness industry design considerations.
• Proficiency in Google Sheets, Excel, CRM systems, and ability to learn internal tools.
