About the role

The Team Lead at CORE II plays a vital role in supporting both staff and clients by fostering a collaborative, supportive, and well-organized environment. Key responsibilities include mentoring team members, overseeing daily operations, ensuring high-quality services, and creating a culture where employees and clients can thrive.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises the daily activities and operational performance of a team in a residential or housing unit
  • Ensures ongoing and transparent communication by holding huddles, one-to-one meetings, and utilizing approved communication resources. Ensures communication saturation.
  • Promotes a culture of strong performance and high morale
  • Ensures the completion of operational goals within required timelines
  • Provides orientation, training, and mentoring to new employees; ensures that orientation and training objectives are completed within established timeframes
  • Trains employees to understand unit/business area plan and how each member of the team serves to ensure fulfillment
  • Ensures employee compliance with company policy, procedure, and operational expectations
  • Adds to employee competence by providing educational resources
  • Maintains professional relationships with other Valley employees, customers, and stakeholders
  • Improves financial and operational results by analyzing data; monitoring variances; identifying trends; recommending actions to management
  • Prepares and analyzes reports as required
  • Manages employee timecards and other payroll responsibilities
  • Works with Quality Assurance and Valley Leadership to ensure compliance with all related and applicable regulatory requirements including but not limited to: grants, licensing, audits, property management and Medicaid
  • Performs client care responsibilities including targeted case management, medication distribution, client transportation, etc.
  • Collaborates with leadership to ensure shift coverage; provides on-call coverage as assigned

Requirements

  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent
  • Experience: Six months direct care experience
  • Licenses/Certifications: Case Manager certification (post-hire as needed), CPR certification (post-hire as needed), Valley de-escalation certification (post-hire)
  • Driving positions: Requires a current Utah Driver’s license, must be 21

Qualifications

  • Education: Associate degree, any field of study preferred
  • Experience: Two years of behavioral health experience preferred
  • Supervisory Experience: One year of supervisory experience preferred

  • Retail: 401(k) plan accepts both pre-tax and Roth (post-tax) contributions and includes a company match of up to 6% of your annual salary
