Responsibilities
- Leads a team to provide ongoing support and enhancements on the overall platform and/or related application environment.
- Focuses 70% of effort within the directly managed team and provides day-to-day communication required with peer associates and teams.
- Provides guidance to direct reports to develop technical and leadership skills, with a focus on developing a self-directing team and future leaders.
- Serves as a primary interaction point with project managers, company functional or technical leads and local team members.
- Trains lower level associates in the technology practice.
- Collaborates with team members on technical direction of the application and provides recommendations to Management.
- Generates new ideas and consults with manager to improve area of responsibility.
Qualifications
- 1 to 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area; leadership development is the candidate’s focus.
- Demonstrated capability of meeting the key accountabilities, or the ability to learn and perform them.
- Ability to lead personnel, technical, stakeholder, and project initiatives for an application development team.
- Ability to thrive and produce team results with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Senior level technology acumen.
- Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) experience.
- Strong project management experience.
- Strong customer service focus that serves as the basis for making decisions.
- Superior problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to interact seamlessly with both technical and business stakeholders at all levels of the corporation.
- 3+ years of P&C insurance industry knowledge is preferred, but not required.
- Understanding of Agile SDLC is preferred.

Education
Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in a related field or equivalent experience.

- Base Salary Range: $107,030 – $198,770
