Team Lead Reinsurance Systems

Responsibilities

• Leads a team to provide ongoing support and enhancements on the overall platform and/or related application environment.
• Focuses 70% of effort within the directly managed team and provides day-to-day communication required with peer associates and teams.
• Provides guidance to direct reports to develop technical and leadership skills, with a focus on developing a self-directing team and future leaders.
• Serves as a primary interaction point with project managers, company functional or technical leads and local team members.
• Trains lower level associates in the technology practice.
• Collaborates with team members on technical direction of the application and provides recommendations to Management.
• Generates new ideas and consults with manager to improve area of responsibility.

Qualifications

• 1 to 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area; leadership development is the candidate’s focus.
• Demonstrated capability of meeting the key accountabilities, or the ability to learn and perform them.
• Ability to lead personnel, technical, stakeholder, and project initiatives for an application development team.
• Ability to thrive and produce team results with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
• Senior level technology acumen.
• Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) experience.
• Strong project management experience.
• Strong customer service focus that serves as the basis for making decisions.
• Superior problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to interact seamlessly with both technical and business stakeholders at all levels of the corporation.
• 3+ years of P&C insurance industry knowledge is preferred, but not required.
• Understanding of Agile SDLC is preferred.

Education

Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in a related field or equivalent experience.

• Base Salary Range: $107,030 – $198,770
