About the Role
A Red Valve Team Leader will assist the Supervisor and Quality Manager by leading the finishing team to ensure that daily goals are met with the highest regard for safety and quality. This role involves working with clearly defined methods and tasks, following established safety and environmental practices and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Comply with all safety regulations and maintain a clean work cell through 5S and housekeeping.
- Manage daily workload and set priorities for the finishing team.
- Develop a thorough understanding of the finishing department and provide support to the team as needed.
- Train new employees within the finishing department.
- Analyze failure modes and develop corrective actions.
- Assist with quality checks and perform audits to ensure processes are being followed.
- Actively participate in continuous improvement activities.
- Report issues or problems to the immediate Supervisor or Manager.
- Support areas as dictated by business needs; the assigned area of responsibility may change based on business demands.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or a minimum of two years of related manufacturing experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience with an emphasis in manufacturing.
- Demonstrate a high level of energy, drive, enthusiasm, and professionalism.
- Basic mathematical abilities and computer skills.
- Ability to demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness.
- Provide direction and leadership to team members through coaching and direct feedback.
- Ability to take direction and work as a team.
