We are on the lookout for an Inventory Team Lead for our Carlstadt warehouse, who shares our passion for being Customer Obsessed. In this dynamic role, you will play a crucial part in overseeing daily inventory control operations, ensuring accurate, efficient, and compliant management of a wide range of goods.. This role involves leading a team of inventory control associates, coordinating cycle counts and audits, and maintaining high standards of accuracy, quality, and productivity. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a background in inventory control or warehouse management, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Role Details Location: 12th Street, Carlstadt, 07072 Pay Rate: $26-$28 per hour Hours of work: Mon-Fri 8am-4:30pm Key Responsibilities Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of inventory control associates;Train new employees on inventory control standards, cycle counting procedures, and warehouse management system (WMS) best practices;Assign tasks and responsibilities, ensuring efficient workflow and productivity across receiving, put-away, and inventory audits;Oversee the accurate receipt, storage, and tracking of inventory delivered to the warehouse;Perform and coordinate cycle counts, physical inventories, and reconciliations to maintain inventory accuracy;Conduct root cause analysis on inventory discrepancies, shrink, and damaged goods, and implement corrective actions;Provide regular reports on inventory accuracy and other key performance metrics to operations leadership;Use of tools including but not limited to WMS platforms, RF scanners, carts, hand trucks, and dollies;Follow all 5S processes consistently and effectively;Participate in regular team meetings to communicate goals, updates, and feedback;Support inventory control and quality assurance (ICQA) style compliance audits, ensuring adherence to quality and inventory control standards;Implement and maintain inventory control processes and procedures to maximize accuracy and efficiency;Enforce safety standards and protocols to ensure a safe working environment;Address and resolve issues related to damaged, missing, or misplaced inventory;Liaise with other departments, such as receiving, fulfillment, procurement, and customer service, to coordinate activities and resolve discrepancies;Communicate effectively with team members, management, and external partners. Qualifications Minimum of 3 years in an inventory control/fulfillment environment within a warehouse with at least 1 year in a supervisory or team lead position;Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and cycle counting methodologies;Strong leadership and team management skills;Excellent organizational, analytical, and time-management abilities;Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehouse operations, including OSHA standards;Strong communication and interpersonal skills;Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment;Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 lbs);Prolonged periods of standing and walking;Authorized to work in the US for any employer;Have a valid forklift license (An asset not a requirement).
