About the role

The Home Health Insurance Specialist Team Lead is responsible for helping achieve the vision of THAH by providing leadership to the Insurance Specialists within the Customer Care Center in a cost-effective, results-oriented, patient-centered way. Leads the team by example to process accurate and timely insurance verification and initial authorization to achieve exceptional levels of performance that includes customer service.

This front-line working position is a resource to manage the day-to-day insurance-related operations in the Customer Care Center to promote teamwork and contribute to team performance goals. This position supports and strengthens the link between our referral sources, RHMs, THAH sites providing care, and the patients we serve to deliver seamless referral processing for intermittent services within our communities.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to the Insurance Specialists within the Customer Care Center.
• Process accurate and timely insurance verification and initial authorization.
• Manage day-to-day insurance-related operations to promote teamwork and contribute to team performance goals.
• Support and strengthen the link between referral sources, RHMs, THAH sites, and patients for seamless referral processing.
• Lead and support the team through process and change management.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; two years of college experience preferred.
• Two years of experience in coverage verification/benefit determination preferred.
• Two years of home care experience preferred.
• Knowledge of governmental reimbursement criteria.
• Knowledge of third-party/managed care contracts related to agency services is preferred.
• Strong technology management and competence (phone, computer systems).
• Exceptional knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid and third-party reimbursement.
• Ability to lead and support the team through process and change management.

Pay

Pay range: $20.82 - $28.63 per hour (pay rates based on years of experience, skillset, etc.)
