About the role

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a reduced clinical caseload consistent with program expectations.
  • Conduct assessments, reassessments, treatment planning, crisis intervention, and therapeutic services within the scope of licensure.
  • Provide individual, family, and group interventions utilizing evidence-based treatment modalities.
  • Support continuity of care through referrals, care coordination, and service transitions.
  • Model best practices in patient engagement, trauma-informed care, documentation, and therapeutic interventions.
  • Promote high-quality patient care and support staff in delivering effective behavioral health services.
  • Partner closely with the Clinical Program Supervisor to support clinical excellence, ensure regulatory compliance, improve operational performance, and foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Support intake workflows, patient access initiatives, referral management, and service coordination processes.
  • Aid in case staffing, multidisciplinary team meetings, and complex case consultations.
  • Monitor operational workflows and identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Collaborate with schools, healthcare providers, hospitals, health plans, community agencies, and other stakeholders.
  • Support integrated and coordinated care across service lines and levels of care.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary treatment planning and care coordination meetings.
  • Represent Valle del Sol professionally in community meetings, trainings, and partnership activities.

Qualifications

  • Education: Master's degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, Addiction Counseling, or a related behavioral health field from an accredited institution.
  • Experience: Minimum three (3) years of applied clinical experience, experience providing behavioral health services in a community behavioral health setting, experience mentoring, training, onboarding, or providing clinical consultation to staff.
  • Licensure/Certification: Active Associate-Level License (LAC, LMSW, LAMFT, LAAC) or Independent-Level License (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, LIAC) in good standing with the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners, Behavioral Health Professional (BHP) eligibility and credentialing, BLS certification, or ability to obtain within five (5) days of start date, Arizona Level I Fingerprint Clearance Card, or ability to obtain within five (5) days of start date.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of behavioral health regulations, payer requirements, accreditation standards, and community behavioral health systems, knowledge of clinical documentation standards and quality assurance practices, strong clinical judgment, decision-making, and problem-solving skills, ability to mentor, coach, and support staff development, ability to review and evaluate clinical documentation for quality and compliance, ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining service excellence, strong leadership, communication, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary and integrated care environments, proficiency with electronic health records and Microsoft Office applications, ability to provide culturally responsive, trauma-informed, recovery-oriented, and patient-centered services.
