Team Lead & Foreman – Fence Installation

Seegars Fence Company of Augusta is seeking a smart and motivated individual to lead a team in installing various types of fences for residential, commercial, or industrial properties. • Standard 4-day work week (4 ten hour days) with the opportunity to work overtime on Friday and Saturday as business conditions allow.

Responsibilities

• Direct and lead a team in installing fences according to client specifications and project requirements.
• Fence installers work with a variety of hand and power tools, including saws, drills, post hole diggers, levels, and measuring devices.
• Coach crew members, train and develop new crew members and ensure all team members operate in a safe team environment.
• Maintain proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Listen to and understand the customer's needs and clearly communicate with the customer and project management team.
• Aid in maintaining a crew truck and all of the tools and equipment associated with that truck.
• Anticipate customer needs and job complications and be proactive to prevent or reduce any adverse effects.
• Install all types of fences offered by SFC.
• Accurately read a tape measure and a level.
• Dress appropriately with SFC uniform or T-Shirt.
• Never smoke in front of any customer especially residential customers with children.
• Never use profanity in the presence of the customer.

Requirements

• Good communication skills.

• Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy materials up to 100 lbs.
• The ability to handle multiple tasks at once.
• Proficient math skills.
• Experience with welding or carpentry a plus.
• Experience in fence, roofing, construction or related field preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with at least 3 years of driving experience.
