About the role
The Team Lead acts as the primary escalation point for complex fee administration, revenue reporting questions, and client service matters. This position combines technical expertise, leadership, relationship management, and process improvement responsibilities to drive team performance, reporting accuracy, and exceptional service to internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily leadership, coaching, mentoring, and support to Financial Reporting Analysts
- Serve as the primary resource for team members by answering questions, providing technical guidance, and assisting with complex issues
- Lead training efforts, onboarding activities, and ongoing skill development for team members
- Assist management with workload balancing, performance feedback, succession planning, and employee development initiatives
- Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Support management in carrying out departmental goals and the broader vision of Commerce Trust
- Oversee revenue reporting activities and ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of deliverables
- Drive advanced analysis of revenue trends, fee realization, and business performance
- Resolve complex reporting and fee-related issues while identifying sustainable solutions
- Serve as a resource for investment management fees, trust fees, mutual fund fees, and revenue collection processes
- Partner with leadership to identify revenue trends and strategic initiatives
- Deliver exceptional customer service while supporting internal business partners throughout fee administration and reporting processes
- Build strong working relationships across Wealth Management, Operations, Audit, Compliance, Legal, Tax, and other support areas
- Lead and champion process improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, accuracy, scalability, and risk management
- Monitor key performance indicators and recommend actions to improve team outcomes
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or related field preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience required
- 4+ years of experience in revenue reporting, fee administration, financial analysis, wealth management, trust services, or investment management required
- 1+ years leadership experience required
Skills
- Strong knowledge of revenue reporting and financial services terminology
- Wealth management, trust services and/or investment management knowledge preferred
- Knowledge of fee administration preferred
- Expert-level Microsoft Excel skills including formulas, pivot tables, advanced reporting, and data analysis
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving and presentation skills
- Ability to interpret complex financial information and communicate recommendations to leadership
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple initiatives
- Ability to develop and coach team members with proven ability to achieve results through collaboration and teamwork
- Self-starter with strong decision-making skills and the ability to effectively communicate and interact with all levels of the company, clearly expressing ideas and concepts, both verbally and in writing

- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint
Pay
Annual Salary: $93,000.00 - $109,000.00 (Amount based on relevant experience, skills, and competencies).
