About the role
This full-time position supports the practice management team in promoting and ensuring premium eyecare experiences for every patient. The role focuses on establishing the practice as the premier destination for vision needs in the community by supporting key optical and lab processes and maintaining unsurpassed patient care.
Responsibilities
- Supports all primary care functions, including leading and maintaining patient and customer flow, guiding eyecare advisors and sales associates, participating in pre-exam activities, and selling products.
- Demonstrates superior product and process knowledge, ensuring a commitment to unsurpassed patient care.
- Leads peers through complex tasks and anticipates problems to develop long-term solutions.
- Supports the practice management team in delivering key performance indicators and acts as a catalyst for change, including implementing new technology and processes.
- Ensures all company-approved safety programs are implemented and maintained.
- Works weekends and evenings as needed to support business operations.
- Adheres to attendance, timekeeping, and dress code policies.
- Performs duties as designated by the Practice Manager and other functions as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Strong customer service and retail experience, preferably in optical and patient care.
- Knowledge of current optical theory and merchandise or the ability to master it quickly.
- Strong communication and listening skills.
- Familiarity with technology, such as point-of-sale systems, patient record systems, and other software applications.
Qualifications
- Preferred: ABO certification.
- Preferred: 1+ year of supervisory experience, preferably in an eyecare environment.
- Preferred: Prior customer/patient care experience.
