Team Lead

About the role

As a Team Lead at a child care center, you will inspire children to become lifelong learners while taking on leadership responsibilities. This role involves promoting children's social, physical, and intellectual growth, managing classroom instruction, building family relationships, mentoring new hires, and stepping into director duties when needed. You'll work in a supportive community that values balance, opportunity, and recognition.

Responsibilities

• Promote social, physical, and intellectual growth of children in your care
• Take the lead on classroom management and curriculum implementation
• Classroom instruction at least 50% of weekly schedule
• Communicate and build relationships with families to promote achievement and support center success
• Manage, train, and mentor new hires and fellow Teachers
• Create fun, interactive learning experiences for preschool children
• Assume duties of Director or Assistant Director in their absence, including opening and closing the school
• Ensure daily care of every child by following licensing guidelines and implementing company standards

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age
• Experience in a licensed childcare facility
• Experience leading a classroom
• Experience implementing lesson plans
• Ability to meet state and/or accreditation requirements for education and experience
• Ability to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children

Qualifications

• College credits towards Early Childhood Education or Child Development degree, or a CDA (preferred)

Pay

Team Lead: $23.89–$24.81 per hour, based on position, education, and experience.
