Position Summary

The Team Coordinator assists the supervisor in the operation of an area of a department so that the Supervisor may increase focus on the people in the area and not be as involved in daily specific workflow issues. The Team Coordinator is primarily responsible for ensuring continuous production flow by relieving bottlenecks within the department, addressing workflow issues, learning all positions and filling in as needed, identifying part and resource shortages, providing solutions, and communicating these situations to supervisors, engineers, and managers as appropriate.

Responsibilities

  • Reduces production bottlenecks on manufacturing product lines.
  • Addresses and corrects workflow issues.
  • Learns all positions and fills in as needed.
  • Identifies part and resource shortages and provides solutions.
  • Communicates above situations to Supervisors, Engineers, and Managers as appropriate.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualifications: High School graduate or GED and minimal WorkKeys scores for the position.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Previous lead position experience.

Physical & Environmental Demands

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
  • Able to lift between 50 and 100 pounds assisted.
  • Able to learn to work with all hand tools required of all positions within the area, including general work tools, pneumatic and hydraulic tools, brazing and wiring tools and equipment, forklifts, etc.
  • Able to effectively direct the flow of others.
  • Able to foster teamwork and resolve conflict.
  • Able to work long hours and a variety of shifts as needed.
  • Able to learn and utilize materials tracking system.

Environmental Demands

  • Ability to work in an environment with temperatures occasionally above 100 degrees or below 32 degrees.
