Team Coach Shipping

About the role

SteelPro, LLC. is seeking a Shift Supervisor for the Shipping and Powder Coat department located at 1255 Harbor Ave., Memphis, TN. SteelPro is a division of Accelevation, a company that builds the physical infrastructure powering advanced technologies.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of shipping and powder coat personnel.
• Assign and prioritize daily work assignments to ensure production schedules and shipping deadlines are met.
• Maintain workflow, productivity, and quality standards within both departments.
• Work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends as business needs require.
• Manage physical job duties as needed, including working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized shipping yard and work areas at all times.
• Ensure compliance with company safety policies and procedures.
• Stage and account for material before and after coating.
• Carefully coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, verifying accuracy and timely delivery.
• Manage material flow between departments to support production requirements.
• Train, coach, and develop employees to improve performance and maintain accountability.
• Communicate effectively with management, production teams, drivers, and customers as needed.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce downtime.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, shipping, powder coating, or a related industrial environment.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Proven ability to lead teams and effectively delegate work assignments.
• Tekla PowerFab experience preferred.
• Knowledge of shipping, logistics, and material handling practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Forklift Certified preferred.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Regular lifting up to 25 lbs and occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Exposure to moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, chemicals, electrical hazards, and explosives.
• Noise levels can be very loud, requiring ear protection.
