About the role
Vinfen is a nonprofit organization that provides community-based services to individuals with various disabilities. This position is part of their team, supporting the clinical goals of the program under the guidance of the Site Manager/Program Director.
Responsibilities
- Support the Site Manager/Program Director in implementing services
- Provide supplemental clinical training to staff
- Train program managers on program modification
- Make program recommendations as required
- Provide feedback to the Program Director on the status of clinical programs
- Maintain bi-monthly/monthly clinical minutes and ensure communication to the Program Director
- Ensure program staff are supplied with necessary forms for behavior/academic books
- Train managers on setup of behavior/academic books
- Train Site Manager/Program Director in clinical systems
- Provide support to Site Manager/Program Director through modeling/feedback
- Provide feedback on staff performance through regular observations
- Assist Site Manager/Program Director in direct observation and feedback
- Advise Site Manager/Program Director on needs of the program and individuals
- Provide individual counseling, group therapy, and other direct clinical services
- Conduct various training programs for new employees
- Attend appointments with staff and external specialists
- Present clinical findings and data
- Observe and develop plans to address clinical behavior issues
- Conduct clinical screenings and assessments
- Set up baseline materials and tools
- Train staff on use of materials
- Assist in conducting Intake Assessments of new referrals to Vinfen
- Perform other related duties as required
Qualifications
- One to three years of experience in a clinical setting
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required
- A Master’s degree in Special Education, psychology, social work, or a related field is preferred
- Driving is a requirement for this position using either a Vinfen van or personal vehicle
- Must be at least 21 years old, have a valid US driver's license for at least six months, and pass a driver's screening background check
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, climb, sit, reach, maneuver through narrow spaces or hallways, assist clients with tasks of daily living, and remain in a stationary position 50% of the time as needed
- Ability to lift at least 25 pounds using proper lifting techniques or the use of a two-person lift
- Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment such as a calculator, copier, and printer
- Ability to speak, hear, and communicate with clients, staff, and external representatives
- CPR, First Aid, and Safety Care certifications are required within two weeks, 60 days, and two weeks of hire, respectively
Pay
The pay range for this position is USD $75,000.00 - USD $82,000.00 /Yr.
