Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding athlete experiences by anticipating needs and providing clear, accurate, and knowledgeable information about products and assortment.
- Uphold company merchandising and presentation standards, including floor sets, signage, price changes, inventory presentation, and replenishment.
- Promote and lead company programs such as customer loyalty participation, warranty sales, and private label credit card enrollment.
- Contribute to 30-60-90 day plans supporting business priorities for assigned department(s) alongside the Store Manager (SM) and Assistant Store Manager (ASM).
- Help establish operational and merchandising plans, including staffing, hiring, and budget adherence.
- Execute and adjust plans as needed, using independent judgment to analyze effectiveness.
- Act as Head Coach when the sole leader in the building, overseeing opening/closing procedures, Front End, Cash Office functions, and teammate supervision.
- Communicate departmental goals and assign workloads to direct reports based on skill levels to maximize efficiency.
- Monitor progress against plans, adjust to store goal changes, and ensure uninterrupted operations while meeting payroll and financial goals.
- Develop and adjust teammate schedules to meet athlete traffic demands and operational initiatives.
- Build and lead a strong team by sourcing, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and retaining direct reports.
- Provide coaching, feedback, development, recognition, and motivation throughout the teammate lifecycle.
- Manage performance, including annual reviews, promotional recommendations, and accountability for policy compliance, up to termination recommendations.
- Create an inclusive store environment where teammates and athletes are treated with respect.
- Adhere to and enforce safety, loss prevention, and standard operating procedures, as well as external laws/guidelines.
- Hold teammates accountable for meeting or exceeding expectations.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1-3 years of experience.
- Previous retail or customer-facing experience required.
- Previous people leadership experience preferred.
