About the role

Easterseals of Southeastern Pennsylvania is seeking compassionate, energetic, and dedicated Teaching Assistants to support preschool classrooms serving children ages 3–5 years. Our programs provide high-quality educational services to young children with diverse developmental needs, including autism, communication delays, physical disabilities, and other developmental differences.

Responsibilities

  • Support the classroom teacher in implementing daily instructional activities, classroom routines, and individualized learning opportunities.
  • Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for children.
  • Help children develop communication, social-emotional, cognitive, physical, adaptive, and pre-academic skills.
  • Foster independence and positive peer interactions among children.
  • Support children based on the needs of the program, which may involve working with individual children, small groups, or the entire classroom.

Qualifications

  • A High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • An Associate's degree or coursework in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience working with preschool-aged children is preferred.
  • Experience supporting children with developmental delays or disabilities is preferred.
