About the role
The Eastern Westmoreland Career and Technology Center is seeking part‑time, hourly Teaching Assistants to support students in the Service Occupations Program and across various programs including manufacturing, construction, and service industry trades.
Responsibilities
- Support students in classroom and lab settings.
- Assist instructors with instructional activities and student supervision.
- Work with students with special needs in an educational setting.
- Apply technical skills from manufacturing, construction, or service industry backgrounds to aid learning.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current Act 24/34/114/151/168 clearances (can be obtained upon employment).
Qualifications
- Experience working with students with special needs in an educational setting.
- Technical skills and work experience in manufacturing, construction, or the service industry.
Pay
$18‑$20 per hour.
Schedule
25 hours per week.
