Duties
- Loading, unloading, and firing of electric and gas kilns
- Formulating glazes
- Recycling of clay with the use of a vacuum pugmill
- Organize and inventory ceramic materials
- Perform minor repairs or adjustments to tools and equipment as needed
- Auxiliary student assignments
- Auxiliary teachers in delivering curriculum
- Foster creativity and a sense of community
Position Details
- Work Year: 9 Months
- School Year: 2026-2027
- Work Hours: Monday - Friday, Hours between 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Schedule may vary based on operational needs
- Hourly Rate: $20.00/Hour
Minimum Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Fine Arts or related program
- Completion of a Bachelor of Fine Arts or related degree preferred
- Experience with teaching high school students preferred
- Ability to inspire trust and confidence, exercise patience, and motivate students
- Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively with others
- Demonstrates solid professional and personal ethics: models respect, honesty, dependability, and integrity
- Demonstrated passion for art, teaching, and learning
