Responsibilities
- Tutoring and mentoring students in the Audio and Music Production program.
- Assisting Program Director and Program Manager with administrative tasks.
- Maintaining program education files and assisting in curriculum development.
- Supporting student events, workshops, and activities at the Recording School Building and other campus facilities.
- Directing students to resources such as student advising, financial aid, and the Connect desk.
- Communicating with instructors, the Equipment Room, and the IMT Department.
- Attending and documenting meetings, and completing required trainings.
- Maintaining a safe and positive learning environment.
Requirements
- Well-rounded in Pro Tools, Logic Pro, and Ableton Live.
- Experience and education in music theory.
- A positive attitude, a desire to help others, and a passion for educating.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Good organizational skills.
- Good written and verbal communication.
- High degree of computer literacy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Audio or Music Production.
- Proficient with Mac OS.
- Proficient with standard office applications (Microsoft Office Suite, Google Drive).
Competencies
- Knowledge: Well-rounded in Pro Tools, Logic Pro, and Ableton Live.
- Skills: Experience and education in music theory, strong customer service skills, good organizational skills, good written and verbal communication, high degree of computer literacy.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Audio or Music Production.

- This job requires a professional office environment when working on-site or remotely.
- Regularly required to have the ability to maintain active communication; access, input, and retrieve information from the computer system.
- Demonstrated ability to lift and carry equipment up to 25 pounds.
- May have cause to bend, stand, sit, and reach.
- Use of keyboards.
- Effective operation of general office equipment such as a computer, scanner, and other LAFS office equipment.
- Frequent use of computer screens and other tech devices.
