Undergraduate Teaching Assistant position in the Department of Mathematics, Eberly College of Science, for Math for Sustainability (Math 033) during the Fall 2026 semester.
About the role
The selected candidate will work up to 6 hours per week assisting with peer instruction, grading, and course delivery for Math 033.
Schedule
- Assist students in peer instruction during class:
- Monday/Wednesday 2:30–3:20 pm, or
- Tuesday/Thursday 10:35–11:25 am
- Participate in weekly instructional team meetings
- Hold supplemental out-of-class student support hours
Responsibilities
- Assist students in peer instruction during class sessions
- Grade students’ assignments
- Assist with course delivery in Canvas
- Provide supplemental out-of-class student support
Requirements
- Experience assisting students in mathematics at the college algebra level
- Strong communication skills
- Interest in topics related to sustainability
