About the role
Join our New York Campus (located in Airmont) as a Teaching Assistant! You’ll play a key role in supporting classroom teachers and providing a nurturing and effective learning environment for students. This role involves assisting with instructional tasks, classroom management, and providing individualized support to students.
Responsibilities
- Aid in planning and implementing educational activities.
- Support students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning concepts.
- Help manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive learning environment.
- Prepare and organize instructional materials and resources.
- Monitor and document student progress and provide feedback to the teacher.
- Assist with grading assignments and maintaining student records.
- Supervise students during non-instructional times such as recess, lunch, and field trips.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff.
- Participate in professional development and training sessions.
Requirements
- You must be living in the USA and authorized to work here.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred.
- Teaching Certification or Certified Teaching Assistant (CTA) certification required.
- Previous experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and staff.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in student development.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with educational technology.

Pay
The starting salary for this role ranges from $65,000 - $80,000 based on education, skills, and experience.
