About the District

Greenville County Schools is the largest public school system in South Carolina and the 44th largest in the nation, serving 76,000 students in preK-12th grade. About the Role

Teachers at Greenville County Schools design and deliver engaging, standards-based instruction to support diverse learners in a classroom setting. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Greenville County, SC.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement effective, standards-based lessons.
• Deliver instruction and assess student progress.
• Provide feedback and maintain accurate records of student performance.
• Collaborate with colleagues, families, and support staff to create inclusive learning environments.
• Participate in professional development to enhance instructional practices.
• Supervise students during school activities.
• Contribute to school initiatives and support extracurricular programs as needed.

Requirements

• Relevant teaching certification or licensure for the state of South Carolina, or eligibility to obtain it.
• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field; advanced degrees are beneficial.
• Ability to plan and implement effective lessons.
• Solid foundation in education, including understanding of curriculum standards and best practices in instruction.
• Strong communication skills for engaging students, collaborating with colleagues, and partnering with families.
• Experience in training or mentoring students and supporting their academic and social-emotional development.
• Commitment to inclusive, culturally responsive teaching and the ability to support learners with varied needs.
• Organizational skills, reliability, and a willingness to participate in ongoing professional learning.
