About the role
The SPED MOD Teacher plays a key role in enriching the academic lives of students at Upper School Academy. This position involves designing and implementing high-quality curricula, motivating students, and fostering a supportive learning environment.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a positive influence in the classroom, consistently motivating students to engage and learn.
- Design, implement, and collaborate on research-based curricula aligned with Massachusetts and Common Core standards.
- Set class-wide and individual academic goals, providing actionable feedback to students on their progress.
- Build supportive relationships with teachers, associate teachers, and staff, offering feedback to develop associate teachers.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by administration.
Requirements
- Massachusetts Teacher Certification in the appropriate area.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Proficiency in English.
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
Skills
- Prior teaching experience in this area preferred.
- Ability to create a safe, purposeful classroom environment that prioritizes learning for all students.
- Strong collaboration skills to work with teachers, instructional leaders, and partners to meet student needs.
Pay
$59,988 – $86,585 per year.
All offers of employment are contingent upon successful completion of a background check and availability of funding.
