About the role

To plan, organize and implement an appropriate instructional program in a learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Prepare lesson plans that meet the needs of learners
• Ensure lessons are aligned to standards and represent a coherent sequence of learning
• Prepare lessons with high levels of learning for all students
• Provide quality instruction that leads to student understanding
• Aid students in taking responsibility for learning and monitor student learning
• Recognize and respond appropriately to individual differences and developmental stages of students
• Maintain a culture and learning environment that promotes student learning
• Manage a learning-focused classroom community
• Create and maintain a classroom of respect for all students

Qualifications And Education Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited College/University
• Minimum Class "A" Mississippi Teaching Certificate
• Subject required endorsement(s) to be "highly qualified"
