About the role
Holyoke Public Schools seeks a highly qualified full-time ABA Teacher to provide specialized instruction for elementary students with Autism Spectrum Disorder, or related neurodiverse disabilities, in a self-contained classroom. This program emphasizes academic instruction, daily living skills, social skills, and functional life skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide individualized ABA therapy sessions to students in a self-contained classroom setting
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) aligned with state standards
- Collaborate with other special education teachers, therapists, and administrators to support student progress
- Assess student progress regularly and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
- Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities
- Adapt teaching methods to meet the unique needs of each student
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in special education or a related field
- A master's degree in special education or a related field preferred
- Valid Massachusetts teaching license or ability to obtain one within six months
- Experience working with students with autism spectrum disorder or similar neurodiverse conditions
- Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and techniques
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Pay
