About the role

As a Speech Language Pathologist at Powerback, you help patients regain their ability to communicate, swallow, and overcome speech or language disorders. You design and execute personalized rehabilitation plans, addressing each patient’s unique needs while delivering effective and efficient therapy services. Your work spans various settings, from skilled nursing centers to home-based care, allowing you to make a meaningful impact in the lives of older adults and children alike.

Responsibilities

• Deliver effective and efficient rehabilitation services for speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans to restore, reinforce, and enhance communication abilities.
• Address the holistic needs of patients, treating them as individuals with unique challenges and goals.
• Adapt to diverse patient needs and settings, finding fulfillment in the variety of daily work.
• Maintain and clean therapy equipment as part of daily responsibilities.
• Participate in team meetings and collaborate with peers to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Make referrals to other healthcare providers when additional care is needed.
• Educate patients and caregivers on techniques to promote independence and productivity.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, Communicative Disorders, or a related field accepted by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
• Licensed, certified, or credentialed as required by the state of practice.

Pay

Posted salary range: USD $41.80 - USD $55.00 per hour.
