Join our team as a vital part of our transportation team, responsible for safely operating commercial delivery trucks. Transport heating fuels to customers' homes and businesses efficiently and on time. Our delivery drivers are home every night, work within a 150-mile radius, and are not required to complete electronic log books. We offer opportunities to deliver in local neighborhoods and surrounding areas, and are willing to train and assist the right candidate with obtaining their CDL B and endorsements.

Responsibilities

• Drive various types of fuel delivery trucks to customers' homes and businesses.
• Load and unload cargo securely and efficiently, ensuring safe transportation of fuel.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and complete necessary paperwork related to deliveries.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving.
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with customers during deliveries.
• Report any vehicle issues or accidents immediately to management.
• Deliver heating fuel in all types of weather during busy times.
• During non-peak times, cross-train for oil & propane tank installations, construction, landscaping, and other miscellaneous work at one of our many locations.

Requirements

• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL B) is preferred; experience with manual transmission is a plus.
• Proven experience in truck driving or as a delivery driver is highly desirable.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for maintaining delivery logs and paperwork.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment/post offer physical and drug screening as required by company policy.
• Ability to obtain a Hazmat & Tanker Endorsement and DOT medical card.
• Ability to commute to Bellows Falls, VT 05101 (Required).

Pay

$45,760.00 - $62,400.00 per year
