About the role
The Naval Science Instructor (NSI) position at Lincoln High School, located in Tallahassee, Florida, is available beginning July 1, 2026. This position is open to certified Navy, Marine Corps, or Coast Guard Enlisted personnel (E6-E9) and those meeting the qualifications outlined on the NETC website: . LDOs are also welcome to apply.
Responsibilities
- Serve as an integral member of a two-instructor team.
- Work after hours and some weekends to support extracurricular activities and cadet travel to school events, competitions, and community service.
- Participate in various competitive events such as orienteering, air rifle, brain brawl, and drill competitions (Color Guard only).
- Engage with the community through active participation in school activities and events.
Requirements
- Certification in Navy, Marine Corps, or Coast Guard Enlisted ranks (E6-E9).
- Strong support from the school district and school administrators.
- Comfortable working after hours and some weekends.
