About the role

School Summary Premier High School and Texas Works seek educators to support credit recovery and early graduation for high school students and adult learners. The role involves delivering personalized instruction, utilizing technology, fostering strong relationships, and supporting academic success.

Responsibilities

• Support and challenge students in a nurturing environment that drives growth and engagement.
• Interpret policy, procedures, and student data to drive academic success.
• Participate in extracurricular activities and collaborate with colleagues.
• Evaluate student progress and communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff.
• Administer tests, monitor student performance, and provide intervention/enrichment.
• Tutor students individually or in groups.
• Perform assigned duties and special projects.
• Practice professionalism through ongoing development and reflection.
• Adhere to all relevant handbooks and procedures.

Requirements

• Texas State Teacher's Certification in the subject to be taught.
• Bachelor's degree with a passing score on an ExCET/TEXES Exam in the grade level or content area to be taught.
• Bachelor's degree with an academic minor or major (minimum of 18 credit hours) in the core academic subject areas to be taught.
• Bachelor's degree and documented successful, relevant work experience in the content area to be taught, established by at least one year of employment in a specific field or occupation that required the educator to demonstrate knowledge or skill in the content area.
