About the role
This position is a regular 10-month contract with full benefits effective the 2026-27 school year. By Board Policy 7440, a teacher must remain in his or her school for three school years.
Responsibilities
- Implement curriculum aligned with state standards.
- Provide differentiated instruction to meet diverse student needs.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance educational programs.
- Maintain accurate records and report on student progress.
- Participate in professional development activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Education or related field.
- Valid teaching license in Physical Education.
- At least one year of teaching experience preferred.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of physical education pedagogy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Skills
- Proficient in using technology for instructional purposes.
- Ability to manage classroom effectively.
- Knowledge of health and safety protocols.
Pay
NC Teacher Salary Scale plus local Board approved supplement. See base supplement schedule below.
