About the role

Responsibilities
- Implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborating with special education teachers and related service providers
- Assessing student progress and adjusting instruction accordingly
- Participating in IEP meetings
Requirements
- New Jersey DOE Teacher of Students with Disabilities Certification
- New Jersey DOE Elementary Instructional Certification
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in education or related field
- Experience working with students with disabilities
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Skills
- Knowledge of special education laws and regulations
- Ability to work collaboratively with other educators and support staff
- Effective classroom management skills
