About the role
The Music Teacher plays a key role in enriching the academic lives of students at Leahy Elementary School. This is a full-time, non-exempt salaried position.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a strong, positive force in the classroom, consistently motivating students to engage and learn.
- Design, implement, and collaborate on high-quality music curricula incorporating research-based strategies to help students master Massachusetts and Common Core standards.
- Set class-wide and individual goals, providing specific and actionable feedback to students on their progress.
- Build supportive relationships with fellow teachers, associate teachers, and staff, offering regular feedback to develop associate teachers.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned by administration.
Requirements
- Massachusetts Teacher Certification in the appropriate area.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Proficient in English.
- Prior experience teaching music preferred.
- Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.

Pay
$61,788 – $94,614 per year.
