About the role
Teachers at this school district earn a starting salary of $48,700. Additional funding through a referendum is available for the next two years, starting at $7,730 for the 26-27 school year. Teachers hired during the school year will receive a prorated supplement based on the date of hire.
Responsibilities
- Guides the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals and in harmony with the goals established.
- Establishes clear objectives for all lessons, units, projects, and activities to communicate these objectives to students.
- Employs a variety of instructional techniques and instructional media, consistent with the physical limitations of the location provided and the needs and capabilities of the individuals or student groups involved.
- Strives to implement, by instruction and action, the District's philosophy of education and instructional goals and objectives.
- Maintains accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, District policy, and administrative regulation.
- Diagnoses the learning disabilities of students on a regular basis, seeking the assistance of District specialists as required.
- Serves as a role model for students, encouraging them to set and maintain high standards of classroom behavior.
- Attends staff meetings and serves on staff committees as required.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- Experience: None.
- Certifications & Licenses: Must be eligible for Florida Department of Education Certification in appropriate subject area.

- Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

- Strong word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation software skills.
