Responsibilities
- Develop instruction following the Maryland State Curriculum providing necessary accommodations to meet individual, group, and program needs
- Teach students to utilize assistive technology
- Create and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Create a supportive learning environment
- Create partnerships with parents and the Katherine Thomas School community
- Be an expert in differentiating grade level curriculum so that students in these classes can access the curriculum
Requirements
- Masters Degree (Special Education or content area)
- MD Special Education Teaching Certificate
- Experience working with children on the spectrum in a school environment is preferred
- Enjoy working as part of a team
- Reliable professional attitude and demeanor
Qualifications
- Must be able to work in the US, no sponsorship available
