About the role
The successful candidate will design and implement appropriate Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities, analyze learning styles, and coordinate behavioral support and communication systems. They will also maintain a safe environment and adhere to various certifications and licenses.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement IEPs for students with disabilities
- Analyze student learning styles and adapt teaching strategies
- Select appropriate activities, materials, and equipment for teaching
- Integrate related services into the daily instructional program
- Conduct IEP team and special education meetings
- Coordinate behavioral support and intervention plans
- Develop and implement communication systems for students
- Follow a time-efficient daily schedule for students' IEPs
- Direct daily activities of teacher aides and classroom volunteers
- Maintain confidentiality of student, parent, and staff information
- Follow policies and guidelines of the MSSD program
- Complete required reports and professional development plans
- Collect and analyze data to improve student learning
- Assist with daily self-care needs of students
Requirements
Applicants must have a Missouri Teaching Certificate or be eligible for temporary or provisional certification. Experience with individuals with disabilities is preferred. A professional license is required pursuant to state law.

Pay
$52,488 - $65,016 base salary, with potential for years-of-service adjustments or shift differentials.
