Substitute teachers are needed for the Lompoc & Buellton area.

About the role

Teachers work in partnership with the team teacher to develop weekly lesson plans for preschool children, develop and maintain a safe and positive classroom climate, and create an intentional learning environment. They screen and assess each child using appropriate screening/assessment tools and individualize educational plans for each child based on ongoing developmental assessments. Engages parents of various cultural backgrounds in their child's education.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• Teacher I: 12 units in ECE/CD in core course or hold Associate Teacher permit or Child Development Associate permit
• Obtain and maintain a current Child Development Permit for the position held
• Obtain and maintain a Pediatric First Aid and CPR card
• Experience working with children with disabilities desirable; Bilingual preferred
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 40lbs

Pay

Hourly rates are between $19.00 - $20.50 depending on how many ECE units you have completed.

Schedule

Position earns sick leave accrual.
